1. Schedule an appointment with an admissions representative, disuss motivation, goals, school policies, attendance and course requirements.

  2. Tour the facility with a representative, preferably on the same day of the initial interview.

  3. Possess several personal characteristics:

    1. Have good personal and oral hygiene
    2. Have professional attitude, personlity, and appearance
    3. Have the ability to manueuver quickly in a 5x5 treatment room with threee other people.
    4. Have good dexterity (necessary for passing instruments to the doctor)
    5. Be able to stand on feet for extended periods of time.
    6. Be able to sit properly and comfortably on a dental assistant stool for extended periods of time.
    7. Be able to follow instructions easily.
    8. Be able to work hrmoniously with the general public in a service capacity.
    9. BE IN GOOD PHYSICAL HEALTH.
